COLCHESTER— Backed by another dominant attacking display at Duffy Field, Vermont Clover FC made it consecutive 6-0 victories with a commanding performance over Boston Street FC II on May 3rd in Colchester, Vermont.

The Clover wasted no time asserting themselves, striking just five minutes into the match through the red-hot connection of Milo Schmidt and Demunga Alfani. Miles Bergeson floated a ball down the left flank into space for Alfani, who burst forward before squaring a perfect pass across the box. Schmidt arrived at the right moment, calmly tucking his finish inside the right post to hand the Clover an early advantage.

Fresh off his man of the match performance in the previous outing, Schmidt continued his excellent form and turned provider only five minutes later. After Vermont won possession near midfield, Schmidt threaded a perfectly weighted pass through the Boston Street backline to find Alfani charging forward. The winger struck first time, rifling his effort into the top right corner to double the lead after just 10 minutes.

The Clover controlled possession for much of the opening half and continued to apply pressure as halftime approached. Their persistence paid off moments before the break from a dangerous set-piece delivery by Schmidt. His ball into the area found an unmarked Omar Daoudi at the back post, where the debutant redirected the ball across goal for Michael O’Connor to poke home from close range and send Vermont into halftime with a commanding 3-0 lead.

The hosts picked up right where they left off after the interval and Daoudi made his mark once again. Matteo Paganini whipped a corner toward the back post where Daoudi rose highest, powering a header into the back of the net to cap off a memorable debut and extend the Clover advantage to four.

Boston Street attempted to respond throughout the second half, but Vermont remained composed defensively while continuing to threaten going forward. In the 85th minute, a misplaced pass from the visiting goalkeeper was intercepted by O’Connor, who quickly found Dylan Mariscal-Dreby. Mariscal-Dreby slipped a pass into the path of Mason Brown, and the forward finished confidently to make it 5-0.

The Clover were not done yet. Just minutes later, Sharmarke Hassan switched the field brilliantly to Frankie Santaniello, who beat his defender with ease before squaring the ball across the box for Brown to finish once again and complete the 6-0 scoreline.

In front of another energized home crowd, Vermont Clover FC delivered six goals for the second consecutive match and remained in joint possession of the top spot in the New England Conference.

Daoudi earned Man of the Match honors after recording a goal and an assist on his debut, while Dima Scorpan and Schmidt were both named to the New England Conference Team of the Week following the emphatic victory.

Up next, the Clover head back on the road for a key showdown with UNations FC on May 9th.
